First John

The book of First John in the BibleThe book of First John was written by Jesusdisciple John, who also wrote the John. As such there are many similarities between the two books. He is also the author of Second John, Third John, and Revelation.

First John is written more as a sermon than a letter. It’s purpose is to reassure the followers of Jesus of their eternal standing with him.
