Bible Term: Adoration

Adoration, is to adore; it is an act of worship or to profoundly love and highly regard.

Adoration is the response God desires — but does not demand — from us.

Key verse about adoration: “The crowds that went ahead of Him, and those that followed Him, were shouting [in praise and adoration], ‘Hosanna to the Son of David (Messiah); Blessed [praised, glorified] is He who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest [heaven]!'” (Matthew 21:9, AMP).

A lifelong student of the Bible, Peter DeHaan, PhD, wrote the 1,000-page website ABibleADay.com to encourage people to explore the Bible. His main blog and many books urge Christians to push past the status quo and reconsider how they practice their faith in every area of their lives.
