Tabernacle:

The general usage of tabernacle in the Bible is the tent where Moses kept the ark of the covenant; it was a holy and revered place.

Later, the tabernacle was effectively replaced with the temple, first built by King Solomon.

In a more general sense, a tabernacle is any holy place.
