Bible Reading Plan - The Entire Bible

To read the entire Bible in one year, you can simply combine our Old Testament and New Testament reading plans.

However, we recommend a chronological reading.  The books of the Bible are not entirely placed in chronological order.  Plus, some portions provide overlapping accounts and duplication.  Therefore, a printed reading schedule that fully captures the chronological flow of the Bible in a user-friendly form is not realistic to produce.

When reading the entire Bible, we recommend using a chronological Bible to best capture the historical flow of the accounts and writings.  Alternately, you can follow a plan that intersperses different sections of the Bible into a daily reading plan.  Two option are:

  • The One Year Chronological Bible (available in NIV or NLT versions)

  • The One Year Bible (available in KJV, NIV or NLT versions)
